Within the Schedule in the top right hand corner you will see the Scheduled & Actual Production Amounts showing (S: Scheduled, A: Actual)
Clicking onto this will show you a break down of the weeks Scheduled & Actual Production Totals:
Many practice's see that the Scheduled Amount is much lower than the Actual Amount
This can be explained due to the following:
- The Scheduled Production Amount gets calculated based on:
- Any Treatment Plans scheduled for that date
- The total of the item codes that have been entered against appointments booked on that date
- When booking a patients appointment there are 2 ways you can enter this in:
- Enter an Item Code (Eg: 012, Prophy etc.)
- An 012 will have a price within Ascend and so this would count towards 'Scheduled Production'
- Enter in a description (Eg: Toothache)
- This is something that has been typed in manually by the staff and doesn't have a set price - as such this will not count towards 'scheduled production'
- Enter an Item Code (Eg: 012, Prophy etc.)
Due to the ability to type in a description rather than a code when booking an appointment it is common that there are appointments that do not have any Scheduled Production applied
As such, it is common that the Actual Production is much higher than the Scheduled Production at the end of the day
