Editing surgeries

You can edit the details of a location's surgeries as needed.

To edit a surgery

How to get there

If you are not already viewing the correct location, select it on the Location menu.
On the Settings menu, under Location, click (or tap) Surgeries.
The Surgeries page opens.

On a location's Surgeries page, select a surgery.
Note: To view all active and inactive surgeries in the list, select the Include Inactive check box.
The options for editing the surgery become available.
Tip: If this surgery has appointments scheduled in it, a message in a yellow box appears. To view a list of those appointments and any events that may also be scheduled in the surgery, click (or tap) the yellow box.
Change the name, and/or modify the other options as needed.
Set up the following options:
- Name - A unique name for the surgery (up to 10 characters in length). This name will appear at the top of the corresponding column on the schedule.
- Description - A unique description for the surgery (up to 25 characters in length).
- Status - You can schedule appointments and events in an Active surgery, but an Inactive surgery will not appear on the schedule and will not be available for selection from the View menu of the schedule. You cannot inactivate a surgery that has future appointments scheduled in it.
Click (or tap) Save.
