Patient Forms: Treatment Consent Form
You can now present a treatment plan case to a patient and provide the details of the case in an online form. Effortlessly, send a link directly to the patient's phone or email, or use the QR code to open the patient portal. The patient can view and sign the document online. Once they have signed, you will see the treatment plan is accepted in Ascend and a printable version of the document available in the patient's document manager.
NHS Claim Enhancements
Default Patient Charge
We are constantly working on improving the intuitive nature of Dentrix Ascend. When you create a new NHS claim, the NHS patient charge will now automatically be selected based on the NHS band for a procedure.
Default NICE Guidelines Recall Interval
This enhancement allows you to set up a patient's recall interval on a claim once and all subsequent claims will have this recall interval automatically set. If you need to update it, the new interval will then become the default on future claims.
Contract Dropdown Includes Date Range
On contract dropdowns in the UDA tracker and on individual claim forms, we have added the date of the contract alongside the contract number. This is to differentiate contracts that have rolled over.
Earlier This Month
UDA Tracker
Stay on track with your NHS contracts by using your new UDA Tracker feature. Simply set up your contract quota and price per UDA and then assign providers to it. By inputting a provider's quota, hours per week and leave, you will be able to visually track a provider's UDAs against your contract targets.
Basic Perio Exam
The Basic Periodontal Examination (BPE) is a rapid screening tool used for assessing patients. Careful assessment of the periodontal tissues is an essential component of patient management, and the BPE may determine whether an additional examination is needed.
In the UK it is required to be carried out annually on every patient.
The BPE window is a standard rapid screening tool for indicating the level of examination and treatment required.
