Third-Parties often have a list of restricted procedures available to be posted for any patients linked to these Third-Parties. This functionality is required to ensure that only the prescribed Procedure Codes are able to be entered and prevent claim discrepancies and rejections.
With this update there is now the added ability to view only the available procedures for a third-party. These can be customized to your practice requirements as well as being able to tailored on a per location basis.
This functionality is applied across the Ledger, Chart, Quick Exam and Appointment windows.
When accessing the settings of a Third-Party (Settings --> Third-Party) there is now a new Available Procedures button
Clicking this will allow you to see a list of all Active procedure codes. along with their Descriptions and Treatment area.
To select/un-select a procedure you can:
- Scroll through the list of Procedure Codes shown or,
- Find the required procedure via the search field
You can then check or un-check the checkbox as required to allow the procedure code for the associated Third-Party:
When a Procedure Code is entered that is not included within the prescribed list the Assign to: Private option is selected by default. This will allow the patient to pay privately (out of pocket) if they so desire
