Units of Dental Activity or UDAs(also referred to as weighted courses of treatment)were introduced by the NHS in April 2006 to establish a common currency that can be used to relate investment to the level of service provided. The basis of the system is that a contractor will provide a set number of UDAs in return for set monthly payments.
The UDA Tracking and Analysis Report helps your practice track your progress against an NHS contract. The report is a graphical representation of past, present, and predicted performance against targets so that you canpredict how many UDAs your practice will have generated at the end of the contract period.
To view the report
On the Home menu, under NHS, click (or tap) UDA Tracker.
The UDA Tracking & Analysis page opens.
By default, the most recent NHS contract is selected. To select a different contract, select the desired contract from the Contract list.
If needed, you can change the contract's patient quota and price per UDA.
From the Provider list, select All Providers to view data for all providers, or select a specific provider to view data for only that provider. If any providers who are supposed to be assigned to the NHS contract do not have a quota or work hours defined, you must add those providers to the NHS contract.
By default, the List View option is selected.
The following UDA statistics per week, for all providers or a specific provider, appear:
Leave (hours off)
Ready (claims that are ready to be sent)
Sent (claims that have been sent)
Paid (claims that have been paid)
Amount (amount of UDA for a claim)
To view which providers are assigned to the contract and each provider's progress with his or her UDAs, select the Provider View option.
The following UDA statistics per provider appear:
-
Hours Per Week
UDA Done
Quota
UDA Rate

To open the NHS Claims Central page with the list of claims filtered to show only claims with a status of Incomplete, Discrepancy, or Error, click (or tap) Incomplete, Discrepancy, or Error. Additionally, if you have a specific provider selected in the Provider list for the report, the list of claims on the NHS Claims Central page is filtered to show claims for only that provider.
