We have updated the Claim ID on Ascend (on Claims Central and within the claim window) to show the NHS Claim Reference Number, to make it easier for you to cross-reference claims in Ascend with those in Compass.
To ensure claims being sent to Compass are ordered sequentially, we only generate the NHS Claim Reference Number when a claim is sent. This means that unsent claims will not contain an ID. You will easily be able to find all claims on Claims Central, or if you are looking for a specific claim for a patient, under the patient’s NHS Claim Tab.
We have many more NHS Claim enhancements planned, such as the ability to send claims from the patient’s NHS Claims tab and the ability to search via patient on Claims Central, so keep your eyes out for future enhancements in this space!
