Patient Contact Number
In this release we've added additional visibility to the patient's preferred contact number.
This now is also displayed on the first screen when booking a patient appointment (right under their DOB) - that means no longer having to switch over to the Contact Info tab just to give them a call!
Marketing Consent
Ascend now offers the ability to set the Marketing Consent Preferences of your patients. All you need to do to get started with this is to jump into the Patient Information of your selected patient and head down to Preferences
There is a Radio Button where you can simply select if the patient has said Yes or No to receiving Marketing material from you (or Not Specified if they haven't let you know yet)
The default position for all patients' Marketing Consent Preferences will be set to Not Specified until you change it. When you do change it you will see the date that it was last changed updated below it
Note: It's important to keep in mind that setting a Marketing Consent Preference for your patients is not going to affect any Appointment or Recare Reminders - it is currently only designed to be used to capture this information on the Patient's file.
Audit Log
Once the Marketing Consent Preference has been set (or changed), this will be reflected in your Audit Log. If you ever need to view more information about a Marketing Consent change, such as which User changed it, you can do so via the Audit Log Report
To access this you just want to head down to Home --> Audit Log (under the Reports heading)
Note: Depending on your practice settings, the Audit Log may only be viewable by someone with Administrative Permissions.
Once in the Audit Log, to find only entries related to Marketing Consent changes you can search "Marketing Consent" under the Details box - then hit the Search Icon
This will show you what the Marketing Consent change was, which patient it was for, which User made the change as well as the date & time that the change occurred. Of course, if you want to filter by a specific patient, or user, you can do that too.
For more information on using the Audit log check out this article here.
Reporting
In this first release of Marketing Consent there isn't (yet) a report you can run to filter through these patients based on their Marketing Consent Preference - that will be coming soon in our version two. We'll be letting you know as soon as this is released, so keep your eyes peeled!
