When the NHS rejects a claim, you can amend the claim, and resubmit it, or you may change the status to 'Accepted Rejected' meaning you confirm that the claim should be rejected and you will not resubmit it (e.g. the claim had expired).
To transition a claim to 'Accepted Rejected' status
Navigate to the Rejected claim by going to the Patient's NHS Claim Tab or going to Claims Central, and using the search bar or Rejected filter, to find the claim that you'd like to update
Patient Tab
Claims Central
Click into the Rejected Claim and click the 'Rejected' status in the top right corner
Select the 'Transition to -> Accepted Rejected' option
A pop-up box appears confirming you'd like to make this change.
NOTE: If you've edited this claim, your changes will be discarded, in order to retain accurate data of what had been submitted to the claim
Select 'I understand' to continue with updating the status to 'Accepted Rejected', which will update the status to 'Accepted Rejected' and close the claim window
NOTE: Select 'Cancel' if you want to keep the claim as 'Rejected'
You can filter Claims Central by 'Accepted Rejected'
To revert the claim back to the 'Rejected' status
If you have mistakenly put the claim in to the 'Accepted Rejected' status, you may navigate back into the claim and revert the status, following the same method as above, except choosing the 'Transition to -> Rejected' option
You may now amend and resend the claim
