Adding Appointment Categories to your Appointments

In Ascends latest release we've made adding Appointment Colours to your Appointments easier than ever!

There's a new drop down box on the right hand side of your Booking Screen - this drop down box is going to display all the Categories that you have setup in your Appointment Colours menu.

Clicking this drop down, you can easily select a category (and see the corresponding colour!)

Select the Appointment Category you're after, and that colour is now automatically applied to that appointment!

The best news? Only one of the three appointment selections is required - so that means you only need to select one of:

• Procedure Code
• Other
• Appointment Category
  
  

The Appointment Category colour will continue to display according to your Appointment Slot Layout & Colours selection

And don't worry, if you've organised your procedures into Categories those will still apply too. For example if you have a 114 in the Exam Category and have assigned it the colour blue - this will still make the appointment colour blue if you add a 114 to the Appointment.

However, the Appointment Category will override the Procedures colour if you choose to also add an Appointment Category to that appointment.

For example:

• You have a 114 in the Exam Category and have assigned it the colour Blue
  • You add this to an Appointment
• You then also add the Appointment Category Emergency to the Appointment - this is coloured Red

In this scenario the Appointment Colour that will display will be Red. 

So go ahead and add those colours!
